Dane has taught more than fifty classes at the College of Marin and four different community schools. Class topics include:

• Top mistakes most home-owners make and how to avoid them.
• Creating your landscape design.
• Amending soil.
• Deer resistant plantings.
• Great landscape ideas.

Much of the information taught in these classes has been included in his two books, which are packed with twenty two years of tips and money-saving ideas.
